There are days when you need to take that extra step in God’s direction, especially when it comes to healing.
I have found that these 7 verses have contributed to healing in my life at the moment when I needed it the most.
Before getting into my reading, I always pray and thank God for His guidance and all the wonderful things He has given me. I often ask for him to give me the ability to listen if He so chooses to reveal something great to me, I am ready for that moment.
I hope that these verses write a profound feeling on your hearts and help guide you down a rejuvenated path like they have for me.
7 Incredible Verses For Healing
1. Go in Peace
“ He said to her, “ Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering”. Mark 5:34
God wants us to know that we are indeed freed from our sins and His one and only son who died, died so that those sins could be washed away.
This verse reminds me of that, that I can be at peace because I am not chained to my sins because of Jesus Christ.
2. Prayers are Answered as God Sees Best
“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven”. James 5:15
When I know someone is hurting or is struggling with their health,
I think of James 5:15. It is something I have tried to become consistent with, even if I have to close my eyes and pray as soon as I hear some needs to be in my prayers.
I know healing takes place because more than just that person calling for God’s help, but it also comes from others asking him for healing as well.
Many prayers of mine have been answered for others, whether the person who I was praying for saw it that way or not, I know by having more than just one person communicating to God, our prayers will be heard and answered. Now, my prayer may not have been answered the exact way I had in mind, but it will be answered the way God sees best.
As Matthew 18:19 states,“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” God’s intentions for us when we were created was to come together, that is why the power of prayer in numbers is so powerful.
3. Think Before You Speak
“The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18
Proverbs 12:18 brings to light how influential our words actually are. We have to understand that if we think before we speak, we can ultimately help bring healing to others.
And it can go both ways. Meditating and thinking about how you might respond to someone before it is released from your mouth is something we should consider all the time.
4. Jesus is Still Healing the Weak
“Jesus went throughout Galilee teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people” Matthew 4:23
This verse is describing a time when Jesus actually walked the earth and was physically healing those in need; the blind, the dead, the demon-possessed, those who experienced seizures and those who were suffering in pain.
Although Jesus doesn’t walk alongside us physically like he once did, he is still healing those who are in need of spiritual healing. He will breathe life back into those who believe in His name.
5. God May Disapprove, But You Can Be Forgiven
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds their wounds” Psalm 147:3
In this verse, the Hebrew word Shabar means to “break into pieces” or “shattered.” It describes the sins we have done that not only break our hearts but God’s as well. But Jesus has the power to mend those broken pieces and restore us to His peace.
6. Pray for One Another
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16
I love this verse because it encourages us to not only pray for others but to confess our sins to one another. This act of confession is something that is humbling to ourselves. It makes us transparent and shows that we are not perfect and are very similar to each other. Although, someone can be perceived as “ perfect” they too, need forgiveness and prayer.
7. His Healing Power Never Changes
“ Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am he, I am he who will sustain you.I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” Isaiah 46:4
Most elements in our lives are not dependable, they change too often and they cannot rely on them no matter how hard we try. The only consistent factor in our lives is God.
He has never changed. He is the same as when we’re young, as He is now. God has created us and has the ability to repair our troubles and sorrows, and guides us throughout our entire lives.

Beautiful read! Thank you! Could you please lift my family in prayer as well as my mother who has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer? She has a firm believer in our loving father. She is believing and claiming a complete healing over her body. She has live for our lord!
Hello Stacy, we would gladly lift your mother up in prayer! I personally have seen answered prayers even just recently of healing and I truly believe as your mother does, He can heal! I was just reading out of Matthew just the other night and recalling all the people Jesus had healed in the past and He is still healing people today! We will be praying for healing in Jesus’ mighty name! Amen!
“When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “DO YOU BELIEVE I AM ABLE TO DO THIS?” They said to Him, “YES, LORD.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH LET IT BE TO YOU.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.” But when they had departed, they spread the news about Him in all that country.” Matthew 9:28-30 NKJV
